Venetian Blinds come with Patterns Too!
We think most customers looking for a patterned blind would probably not think about looking for a venetian blind. In fact we bet most customers don't realise that there are any venetian blinds with patterns on the market at all. Well for anyone who is looking for a patterned blind and would like the functionality of a venetian to have flexible control over light and privacy we are pleased to say that there are patterned venetian blinds on the market and they may be just the thing for you. Likewise any customer who is already looking to buy a made to measure venetian blind for their window might want to have a look at some patterns if they think that added texture and interest to the blind could be something they might like.
In most aluminium blind ranges striped venetian blinds are usually the most common pattern available and these will probably be available in at least one shade of all the most popular colours usually mixed with white, black and white being fairly popular. In silver, there are also sometimes subtle striped patterns in different shades of silver designed to look like machine finishing or acid etching. These patterns will really only be visible if you are very close to the blind and can see the slats close up. Also available in silver are patterns with a more industrial look, ideal for commercial premises or stark 'loft' style interior schemes. Our favourite are chequer plate patterned venetians which have a pattern printed on the silver to resemble the lozenges of chequer plate steel plating that we often see on metal staircases or walkways. If you are looking for the spotted or dotted look then you could have a look at perforated venetian blinds. The tiny round holes in the slats will produce a spotty patterned effect as the light leaks through the holes. However be careful if you are considering these as they are designed to let a certain amount of light through so that a partial view is maintained out through the window during the daytime. This maintains privacy from onlookers being able to see in through the window, but this effect is reversed at night so people outside would be able to see in through the blind if it is dark and you have the light on.
Besides those more common patterns we have mentioned above there are other designs available but will probably be harder to find. A floral or botanical patterned blind is sometimes available in a few colours in a range and there are other more unusual patterns about if you look hard enough. For example we have seen 'skull and cross bones' and camouflage patterns which might be just the thing to finish a boy’s themed bedroom.
If you have looked hard and can't find a pattern you like or if you have a specific design or colour tone you want on your blind that you know will most likely not be available in any standard range then you have the option of having a custom venetian blind made up with the pattern you want digitally printed onto the slats. With this technique you can literally have any design you want as long as you can get a good quality digital image in a high enough resolution that can keep its definition when scaled up to the size that you need.
