Green Venetian Blinds
Bring Nature into your Room with a Green Venetian Blind
We bet everyone has got at least one pot plant in their home which means that everyone has got the starting point to work with the colour green in their interior design schemes. Using this natural colour at your window is a great way to join up with a view of a garden or open countryside if you are lucky enough to have one. Alternatively if you have more of an urban view, a green window covering is a great way of starting a scheme that brings nature right into your home even though you are probably looking at an urban street scene on the outside. If you are planning an interior design scheme and thinking of maybe choosing a green venetian blind to use at your window then we have lots of natural tones from a pale grass to dark forest or pine green venetian blinds. We also have many of our greens with slats available in both gloss and matt finishes as well as some tones available with a metallic lustre effect as well as some patterns such as stripes.
If you are planning to use your made to measure blind to bring a more natural feel into your home then we think that green at the window looks great with natural browns such as natural wood shades and leathers. The green tones can be easily extended into the room from the window by placing pot plants, indoor trees or even just flowers in a vase in your room. On the walls also consider framed prints such as country scenes and landscapes as well as simple botanical prints. If you want to go much further then there are printed murals available depicting natural scenes which can be used to create a feature wall. We also like the natural grass and leaf looking textured wall coverings that are available with matching rugs, though these may be a step too far for many. However far you want to take this colour theme then simple feature cushions and green glass can be used to add more of the same tone without adding to the 'leafy' look.
We think green venetian blinds can work well in any room of the UK home. A pine or sea green blind will add freshness in the bathroom and be very practical too in providing both privacy and light control. A pea green or maybe an apple window blind will always find similar coloured friends to match up with in the kitchen. If you like greens in the kitchen but want a more subtle tone then try olive venetian blinds. Alternatively if you want to add zest and vibrancy how about a lime green venetian blind? For an office or gentleman’s study we have always really liked using British racing green, particularly if there is an old leather reading chair in the same colour. For a look of oriental opulence in the lounge or living room a jade or onyx coloured blind can match up with any object d'art you may have picked up on your travels.
